Organic Cocoa Butter Cocoa butter has been called the ultimate moisturizer and has been used to keep skin soft and supple for centuries. The cocoa tree originated in the foothills of the Andes where wild cacao can still be found. It is believed that it was introduced into Central America by the ancient Mayas, and cultivated in Mexico by the Toltecs and later by the Aztecs. Cocoa Butter is one of the most stable, highly concentrated natural fats known. Due to the fact that it melts at body temperature it is readily absorbed by the skin. Once absorbed, it creates a barrier between the skin and the environment which helps skin retain moisture. It also increases skins elasticity and suppleness.
Organic Bulgarian Lavender Lavender is the most well known of all the essential oils due to its relaxing aroma and healing properties. The healing ability of the lavender dates back to the ancient Egyptians who grew the shrubs in gardens at Thebes. They then used the flowers to make soothing and healing balms. Typically Lavender Oil is grown in France or England. However in the last ten years Bulgaria has become a major producer. Due to the unique temperatures, soil chemistry and air humidity, the lavender that is produced in Bulgaria has a smell that is different from those grown in France and England.
Organic Soy Oil This oil is known for its able to protect and moisturize the skin. This is due to the high level of vitamin E which acts as a free radical scavenger as well as lecithin which is able to draw moisture to the skin.
